About the Ron Cares Society

Founder and President, Ron Bergen, started the Ron Cares Society with a goal to help people.

Currently there are two primary facets of Ron Cares.

1.) Personal Care Kits

Ron Cares has developed 4 categories of care kits:

  • Street Kits
  • Seniors and Elders
  • Low-Income Families
  • Newcomers to Canada

2.) Disability Advocacy

Ron sees the world differently than most. Literally. As a person living with low vision, Ron is an advocate for accessibility, especially with transportation.

Community Connections

Ron Cares is also deeply connected to community. Ron has established supportive relationships with a number of community organisations. They are the Society’s eyes and ears, giving us input into the needs and opportunities that we are able to intervene in.

We are constantly refining the contents of the kits based on the research we’ve done about pressing health concerns for people in crisis, and what we’re hearing from our partner organisations.
